About the Project

 

The Sustainable Living Center (SLC), is offering, at NO COST, home energy quick checks for Walla Walla and College Place Seniors and Veterans! Our certified home energy auditor and a volunteer (if available) will make a scheduled home visit to perform a checklist audit of items that can be remedied on the spot and will also provide energy saving tips and resources.

 

•  Replacing door seals

•  Applying window film

•  Programming the thermostat

•  Cleaning refrigerator coils

•  Setting the hot water heater temp to medium

•  Checking the furnace filter

 

Designed to bring ENERGY SAVINGS to the home, these items and more, can also make immediate improvements in home COMFORT.

 

Materials  are included, no charges will be incurred in any case. We'll also provide up to four LED bulbs to replace existing incandescent lights. Many THANKS to Pacific Power and The Home Depot foundation for making this program possible!
